basecamp · Last updated August 2026

basecamp is a private, invite-only app for a single family. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what happens to it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

What the app collects

What the app does not do

Who can see what you post

Only the members of your invite-only group. basecamp has no public feed, no search, no discovery, and no way for a stranger to find you or your content. New members can only join using an invite code issued by a group administrator.

Where it is stored

Data is stored using Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, and push notifications). Firebase acts as the service provider hosting the data and does not use it for its own purposes. You can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Children

basecamp is designed for families and children may use it under a parent or guardian's supervision. Children can only access the app if a parent or guardian invites them into a private group. No information is collected from a child beyond what is described above, and none of it is ever used for advertising or shared outside the group.

Deleting your data

You can delete any post or photo you have made from within the app at any time. To delete your account and everything associated with it, email the address below and it will be removed. Group administrators can also remove members and their content.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or how it is used, the app will be updated and the date at the top of this page will change.
